The Big Give Christmas Challenge
Scroll down to find out how you can make double the difference to bereaved families this Christmas
One gift, twice the impact
You can get your donation matched pound-for-pound for free when you donate to us via the Big Give website between 12 midday on Tuesday 3rd December and 12 midday on Tuesday 10th December, making twice the difference to bereaved families.
Your support this year will ensure that we can continue to provide bereavement support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child, at any point after their bereavement and for as long as they need.
How it works
Donate via the Big Give betweem 3rd - 10th Dec
Your donation will be doubled while matched funds last
More bereaved families get the support they need
The difference you'll make
The ripples caused by the death of a baby can be far reaching. Our bereavement support services not only support relatives but also friends and professionals connected with the baby or family. Their pain will never truly go, but we ensure that they never have to face it alone.
Your support during the Big Give Christmas Challenge will ensure that anyone who is bereaved of a child has somewhere to turn. You’ll be providing a helpline 365 days a year, Befrienders for longer term one-to-one support, practical bereavement resources and Family Days to create special new memories.
A gift of £27, doubled to £54, could pay for one person to receive support from our bereavement helpline when they first call, plus two follow-up calls to check in with them over time.
You'll provide...
💛Our award-winning freephone helpline, available 365 days a year
💛Resource packs giving advice, sharing experiences from other bereaved individuals and signposting to further support
💛Trained befrienders, offering specialist support to other families who have experienced the death of a baby or young child
💛Free Family Days, for bereaved families to spend time together, remember their baby who died, and to access face-to-face information and support
💛Online groups to find connection and community among those who have had similar experiences
Meet Imogen and Stu
Imogen and Stu’s son, Fred, died suddenly from sepsis after contracting invasive Group A strep, at just 13 months old. Thanks to the kindness of people like you, we were able to give them the immediate support they needed.
”Having a child is like putting a piece of your heart outside your body and watching it walk around. When that child dies, it’s like somebody has taken that part of your heart. You can’t ever see yourself putting your heart on the line all over again.”
”The Lullaby Trust’s support has been the first and only genuine, meaningful support we’ve had. It’s so vital that their bereavement support services continue to be funded. They are a lifeline to so many people. ’’
