By supporting our essential work, your organisation can help make a huge difference to new parents, parents-to-be and bereaved families.
Having a ‘Charity of the Year’ helps your company stand out as a responsible and ethical choice for consumers. More companies are choosing to commit to supporting charities long-term, rather than ad hoc, as they see the see the benefits of embedding the partnership within the culture of the company.
Nominating The Lullaby Trust as your charity of the year is a fantastic way to engage your colleagues, all whilst supporting a cause that will directly help our vital services. We pride ourselves on working with partnerships with companies of all shapes and sizes, who are passionate about supporting our work.
Our commitment to supporting families affected by the cost-of-living crisis
The cost-of-living-crisis exacerbated by the economic situation is already showing a significant impact on infant mortality, with a 2022 report from the National Child Mortality Database concluding that 1 in 5 child deaths could be avoided if children living in the most deprived areas had the same mortality risk as those living in the least deprived.
Because of our concerns around increasing deprivation the impact this might have on the prevalence of SIDS, we’re focusing on ensuring our advice is accessible for all parents, especially those who are most vulnerable and high risk including:
- Young parents under 25 (babies born to mothers below the age of 20 are almost seven times more likely to die from SIDS)
- Those living in deprivation
- Refugees and those seeking asylum
- Families in financial difficulty
- Families using baby banks and food banks
This area of work began last year and we’re excited to create partnerships with those who are committed to disseminating our safer sleep messaging, in our commitment to making our information accessible to all, particularly during this cost-of-living crisis.
Safer sleep is unfortunately a luxury and we want to ensure that all babies have the opportunity to sleep safely. We have already had enquiries from families who are worried about keeping their babies warm, if they cannot afford to heat their homes.
It is vital that families are made aware of the safer sleep advice and how they can keep following this advice even in really difficult circumstances. With your support, you can help us reach families in need.
How your organisation can fundraise
Our fundraising calendar is packed with opportunities from exclusive events like the London Marathon and park runs, to remembrance walks and volunteer work. Staff and customers develop a passion for the cause as they see the life changing difference their fundraising efforts make over the long-term. Your company will also benefit by increasing staff skills, accessing new audiences and increasing brand awareness.
“For the first time in 2022 we decided to concentrate our fundraising efforts towards two charities chosen by our staff, ones which had provided support to colleagues in the past. We were delighted to partner with The Lullaby Trust and hopefully our fundraising efforts have helped out a least a little. The supports and enthusiasm we’ve received from Jess and her team meant it was an easy decision to continue supporting them this year and we look forward to (hopefully!) smashing last year’s fundraising total.” – Jeremy, Operations Director at Burton Safes
You will work closely with our account manager, who will develop a tailored fundraising plan that prioritises your goals and ideas to make sure it fits with your CSR aims. Our promise is to collaborate with you to create a fun, meaningful partnership that you will be proud of.
