We have been funding cutting-edge independent research since 1971 and have since invested £12 million into projects. This research helps us to identify why, when and where babies and young children may be at risk of sudden and unexpected death.
Our advice to parents and professionals is based on this peer-reviewed research from around the world.
We are a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC). All AMRC members support the AMRC position statement on the use of animals in research.
We are also an active member of the International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death (ISPID) which supports and promotes an international conference on sudden infant deaths every two years. The 2021 conference was held in Australia and online.
