This FREE online training includes detailed information about the Care of the Next Infant (CONI) programme. It will provide health visitors with the information needed to knowledgeably discuss CONI with parents. In some areas, you may also carry out regular CONI visits whilst liaising with your local CONI coordinators for advice and support as needed.

The CONI Programme: Role of the Midwife
This FREE online training includes detailed information about the Care of the Next Infant (CONI) programme. It will provide midwives with the information needed to talk to expectant parents about what emotional and practical support CONI can offer them.

Specifically aimed at midwives, student midwives and maternity support workers working in areas of England, Wales and Northern Ireland where the CONI programme is commissioned and available to local families.

A recorded online training presentation to watch that includes detailed information about the Care of Next Infant (CONI) programme. This training will enable midwives to talk to expectant parents about what emotions and practical support CONI can offer them.
In addition to this training, there is a free A5 easy read card in English to act as a memory aid for midwives antenatally, which can then be given to the expectant parent(s). You can also download this card in a range of languages here to support inclusivity of CONI.
